To work in HR and be any good at it, you have to believe in the adage, “Treat employees like they matter, and they will.”

Over the years, many employees have said to Sandy, “I wouldn’t have your job for nothing.” In times of layoffs, acquisitions and reorganizations, that comment is understandable. But the occasions when you truly make a difference in someone’s life, or are successful in helping to change the culture of an organization, it’s all worth it.

Sandy has been an HR Professional for over 30 years, with experience in both union and non-union environments, multistate operations, including California and in a variety of industries including marketing, insurance, food production, eye wear design, higher education and healthcare. She has started HR departments from the ground up, been a one-woman HR show, a Manager, a Director and a VP. Sandy has a degree in HR Management from Cornell University and is lifetime certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
