Felix P. Nater, CSC security management consultant, is the President & Owner of Nater Associates Ltd. founded October 2, 2002. Mr. Nater is a nationally recognized, highly skilled Workplace Violence Prevention Consultant & Advisor with over 40 years of experience in Workplace Violence Prevention and Workplace Security. Mr. Nater is a Certified Security Consultant (CSC) awarded by the International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC). He is the author of Combating Workplace Violence: Creating and Maintaining Safe Environments, contributing author and author of industry-based articles.
Mr. Nater believes that workplace violence prevention requires a prevention mindset and process. It starts with critical program assessment, policy & plan development supported by quality training and program management. He designed a Robust, Agile & Proactive (RAP) Violence Interdiction Model ™ designed on avoiding the surprise attack. With over 40 years of unique experience & expertise acquired as a U.S. postal inspector and security management consultant, he consults with, advises and mentors leaders and trains workforces on how best to identify contributing factors that lead to workplace violence through high-level advice; assistance in the development of multiple intervention strategies and training solutions with manufacturing, processing, production utility firms, and other businesses.
Mr. Nater has held professional memberships & leadership positions in the following organizations: International Association of Professional Security Consultant (IAPSC), Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) (Carolinas Chapter) Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) (Northeast Chapter), Association of the United States Army (AUSA) (NYC Liberty Chapter), Hispanic American Police Command Officers (HAPCO) (New York), International Facility Management Association (IFMA) (NYC) & Employer Support of Guard and Reserve (ESGR) (NYC Area).Mr. Nater retired as a United States Postal Inspector. He found time to serve with the United States Army Reserves in various positions of increasing responsibilities culminating as the Command Sergeant Major of a major Army Reserve Command.
Felix is married to the beautiful Elizabeth Jackson Nater who have six children (two from a former marriage). His eldest is an assistant principal in the New York City Public School System. Their youngest daughter is twenty-two years old, a senior studying Forensic Psychology at Fayetteville State University, Fayetteville, North Carolina
